GOD is the Creator and Ruler of the universe and
has eternally existed in three personalities..the
Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are
co-equal and are one God.
JESUS
CHRIST..is the Son of God. He is co-equal with
the Father. He lived a sinless human life and
offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the
sins of all people by dying on the cross. He arose
from the dead to demonstrate His power over sin
and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will
return again to bring salvation to the righteous
and condemnation to those who do not obey the
Gospel.
THE HOLY SPIRIT..is co-equal
with the Father and the Son of God. He abides
in every Christian upon his baptism into Christ.
THE BIBLE..Is God's Word to
mankind. It was written by human authors inspired
by the Holy Spirit. It is the basis for Christian
beliefs. Because it is inspired by God, no error
will be found.
HUMAN BEINGS..People are the ultimate of God's
creation. Because of the sin of Adam and Eve in
the Garden of Eden, death came to the world. As
a result, sin separated man from God.
SALVATION..is God's gift to
us. We must accept it on His terms. When we turn
to Christ in faith, repentance and baptism for
the remission of our sins, we are saved by the
grace of God. Grace is a conditional gift only
for those who obey His commandments
ETERNITY..God created man
to live forever. We will either spend eternity
eternally separated from God by our sins or we
will live eternally with God. To be eternally
separated from God by sin will be to experience
Hell. To be with God throughout eternity is to
be in Heaven. Man has a choice to make while still
on this earth, as he will spend eternity in Heaven
or Hell.
THE CHURCH..is God's family
of believers. If a person has heard the Word,
believed the Word, repented of his past sins,
confessed the name of Christ as the Son of God,
and has been baptized for the remission of his
sins, the Lord adds him to His church.
The church is self-governing
and independent. Each church is led by a group
elders who are assisted by the deacons.
CONTINUE
IN THE FAITH..After being added to the Lord's
church, a person must continue to grow in the
Faith. One should regularly attend worship services, study
the Bible and keep the Lord's commandments.
